- Born in Tokyo in 1962.
- Graduated from Sacred Heart Professional Training College; formerly employed at Dentsu Inc.
- Married to Shinzo Abe, the 97th Prime Minister of Japan, in 1987. Later completed graduate studies at Rikkyo University’s Graduate School of 21st Century Social Design.
- Actively engaged in educational and culinary promotion, as well as in social initiatives empowering women.
- Currently serves as Chairperson of the Social Contribution Support Foundation and Honorary Chairperson of the Fukuda Foundation for Social Welfare.
- Awarded the Grand Officer of the Order of Leopold II (Belgium) in 2017.
