The global technology and supply chain landscape is undergoing rapid transformation. Taiwan and Japan each possess strong and complementary strengths in semiconductors, precision manufacturing, ICT, and AI. In response to supply chain restructuring, geopolitical challenges, and the net-zero transition, closer Taiwan–Japan collaboration has become essential for building resilience and driving high-value innovation.
This forum brings together experts from industry, government, and academia in Taiwan and Japan to explore AI development trends and cooperation opportunities in technology R&D, industrial upgrading, supply chain collaboration, and policy frameworks.
The forum’s core objectives are to:
• Strengthen Taiwan–Japan cooperation in AI and semiconductor innovation.
• Accelerate the transformation of smart supply chains and manufacturing through AI.
• Build a Taiwan–Japan innovation collaboration platform and deepen strategic partnerships.
• Promote the future development of key industries such as semiconductors, electronics, and smart manufacturing.
Hosted by the Taiwan Japan Academy, the Graduate Institute of Japanese Studies at NCCU, and the NCCU Abe Shinzo Research Center, the 2025 Taiwan–Japan Technology Dialogue will bring together leading experts to discuss future directions for Taiwan– Japan innovation and collaborative opportunities in the AI-driven supply chain era.
